At Jefferson County Elementary, Upper Elementary, and Jr. High Schools combined approximately 600 students eat breakfast daily, and 900 to1000 lunches are served daily. Jefferson County Elementary, Upper Elementary, and Jr. High Cafeteria staff is responsible for feeding Pre-K and Alternative School both breakfast and lunch. Menus are planned to enable children to grow healthy and to prevent heart disease, cancer, cholesterol problems, diabetes, and other food related health problems.
