It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Jefferson County Upper Elementary School website. Our school has a population of 261 students and 30 support staff members. We are the first and only upper elementary school in Jefferson County District, which also serves the City of Fayette, Mississippi.

Our mission as a school is to provide a safe, orderly learning environment and to educate, inspire and motivate our students to achieve their potential. We recognize that, ultimately, our success will be measured in terms of the success of the children whose lives we are privileged to impact.

Our hard work and dedication to the best interests of the children whose educational development is entrusted to us have already begun to bear fruit. In fact, we are now referred to as "The Effective School." Come visit us and see why.
